“My own sister is toxic” – Kayverli makes shocking claims against Asantewaa

Ghanaian content creator Kayverli, the younger brother of social media influencer Martina Dwamena, popularly known as Asantewaa, has publicly opened up about the breakdown of their relationship, accusing his sister of subjecting him to years of emotional distress and insensitive treatment.

Speaking during a TikTok Live session, Kayverli rejected suggestions that he was responsible for the fallout between them, insisting that he had repeatedly overlooked his sister’s actions because of their family bond.

“I’ve never offended her; I’m the one who always forgives her whenever she wrongs me because she’s my sister. She doesn’t know how to talk to people and everyone around me knows it. I unfriended her from all social media platforms because I’ve endured a lot of things from her for a long time and I’m fed up now. There were so many instances when my sister would do something that hurt me deeply, and I would have to ask if she was really my sister. She’s very toxic,” he claimed.

Kayverli recounted an incident during a medical emergency, alleging that after he informed Asantewaa that he was seriously ill and requested her help to get to a hospital, she refused to come for him despite owning a car.

“I wasn’t feeling well; I had a crisis and I called to inform her that I wasn’t well. Since she has a car, she should come and pick me up to get drugs at the pharmacy or take me to the hospital. She told me that she can’t come,” he alleged.

He said a neighbour later arranged transport for him to Asantewaa’s home, where she bought medication before leaving for work. According to him, his condition deteriorated and he was eventually rushed to hospital.

Kayverli further alleged that his sister questioned why his friends had gathered around him at the hospital and made remarks about the money spent on his treatment.

“The doctor asked me to do some lab tests. When she went to the cashier to pay for the lab, she said the money she was about to pay, if she had given it to a beggar outside, it would have been better. Everyone around her asked her why she would say something like that since I’m her brother,” he claimed.

He also disclosed that he instructed hospital staff not to allow Asantewaa into his ward because he no longer felt comfortable around her. According to him, one of the comments that hurt him the most was her alleged statement that she initially thought she had been called to settle his mortuary bill.

“At first, I could have taken a bullet for my sister. When I hear that she’s not well or she’s going through something and I’m not close to her, I feel restless. But my sister said at the hospital that when she was called, she thought she was coming to pay for my mortuary fee. I was just wondering if my own blood sister wanted me dead,” he alleged.

The public fallout has generated widespread discussion on social media, with many calling for reconciliation while others have urged the public to withhold judgment until Asantewaa responds to the allegations. At the time of writing, the influencer has not publicly addressed her brother’s claims.
