Stonebwoy’s public relations officer, Vida Adutwumwaa, has moved to clear the air over reports suggesting that music duo DopeNation may not appear at the upcoming BHIMFest UK concert.

According to her, all artistes announced for the event remain part of the lineup and are expected to perform on August 15, 2026, despite claims circulating about possible scheduling conflicts.

Vida explained that the agreement between the organisers and the invited artistes covers only the date of the concert, stressing that other engagements before or after the event do not affect their commitment.

“Our artiste engaged them for August 15. Whether they have any event before or after BHIMFest is a different matter. Our contract is for the 15th only. If the 15th arrives and they do not show up, then you have issues. We did not book anyone from the 1st to the 20th. Just the 15th,” she stated.

She assured ticket holders that the organisers would take responsibility if any advertised performer fails to appear, noting that fans were informed about the artistes scheduled for the show before purchasing tickets.

“If any of the artistes promoted alongside Stonebwoy, DopeNation, Ofori Amponsah, Kwabena Kwabena, Stylo G and others, do not show up, then you can come to us for a refund because when you bought the tickets, we told you these artistes would perform,” she added.

Vida Adutwumwaa urged fans not to rely on unverified reports and insisted that the August 15 event remains on course.

“So anything you hear, take it as a rumour. If you did not hear it from my mouth, then take it as a rumour. But the 15th is assured. Unless God wills otherwise, that day you will see the people perform,” she said.

The clarification follows claims by social media commentator Darlington Adams that UK event promoters Akwaaba UK and Alordia had blocked DopeNation from appearing at BHIMFest UK. However, Akwaaba UK Chief Executive Officer Dennis Tawiah rejected the allegation, describing it as untrue and maintaining that he has no dispute with either Stonebwoy or DopeNation.

DopeNation’s management has also avoided engaging in the controversy, stating that the duo is currently focused on their European tour.

BHIMFest UK, an extension of dancehall and Afrobeats star Stonebwoy’s annual BHIM Concert brand, is expected to bring together several Ghanaian and international acts for the August event.
