Unidentified man found dead at Jamestown

Residents of James Town in Accra are calling on the appropriate authorities to urgently remove the body of an unidentified person discovered opposite Accra Royal School.

The body was found on Monday morning, drawing the attention of residents in the area.

To preserve the dignity of the deceased, some residents covered the body before continuing with their daily activities while awaiting the arrival of officials.

The incident has sparked concern among residents, who are urging the authorities to respond quickly to retrieve the body and prevent any potential public health risk.

The Assembly Member for the area, Festus Nii Ayi Hayford, said efforts have already been initiated to have the area fumigated and to facilitate the retrieval of the body by the relevant authorities.

As of the time of filing this report, the identity of the deceased and the circumstances surrounding the death remain unknown.
