“I have never cheated since 2017” — Obinim denies infidelity claims

The founder of the International God’s Way Church, Daniel Obinim, has publicly responded to growing speculation about his marriage and private life, insisting that reports linking him to recent infidelity claims are false.

Addressing his congregation on June 30, 2026, the controversial preacher, who has recently been in the spotlight over tensions surrounding his marriage to gospel musician Florence Obinim, said that while he had previously acknowledged having relationships outside his marriage in earlier years, he has remained committed to his wife since 2017.

He explained that his past lifestyle ended years ago and strongly maintained that no woman could legitimately claim any intimate relationship with him from 2017 to the present day.

“I have said that even if I once had affairs and multiple girlfriends, all of that ended in 2017. There is no woman in Ghana or anywhere else in the world who can come forward and say that from 2017 to 2026, I have had a sexual encounter with her,” he stated.

Obinim also dismissed ongoing rumours suggesting he has fathered children outside his marriage. He clarified that he only has four children and urged the public to disregard any contrary claims.

“I have only four children. I do not have a child anywhere else. So if you hear someone saying that Obinim has a child somewhere, let the person keep talking. When they get tired, they will stop,” he added.

The remarks come amid renewed public scrutiny of his marriage, with discussions on social media intensifying over the couple’s relationship history and previous public admissions. While supporters view his statement as an attempt to clear the air and protect his family image, critics argue that the timing of his comments reflects ongoing pressure surrounding his personal life.
