Man found dead on Kasoa–Accra Highway after heavy rains
A man believed to be in his 30s has been found dead on the Kasoa–Accra Highway at the SCC area following Monday’s heavy rainfall.
The deceased was discovered early on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, lying in the middle of the highway. His identity has not yet been established.
The cause of death and the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. Police have launched investigations to determine what led to his death.
Meanwhile, traffic on the Kasoa–Accra Highway has been severely disrupted after floodwaters inundated a section of the road.
The flooding has forced vehicles travelling in both directions to use a single lane, resulting in heavy congestion and lengthy delays for motorists and commuters.
The incident comes in the wake of widespread flooding caused by two days of heavy rainfall across the Greater Accra Region, leaving several roads submerged and many communities dealing with the aftermath of the downpour.
