“I warned Ghanaians about the floods, but I was ignored” — Ebo Noah
Content creator and social commentator Ebo Noah has resurfaced following the recent flooding that affected several parts of Ghana, insisting that he had cautioned the nation about the impending disaster long before the rains arrived.
Reacting after torrential rainfall submerged communities in Accra and other parts of the country, Ebo Noah maintained that he previously delivered a warning which, according to him, was inspired by God but was largely ignored. He claimed his attempt to alert the public even resulted in his arrest instead of being taken seriously.
He said, “I said it would rain and flood. God instructed me to tell Ghanaians, but I was arrested. Today, look at what is happening. Look at the properties being destroyed. Look at the lives that have been lost. It is very sad.”
According to Ebo Noah, people should not judge a message based on the background or occupation of the individual delivering it, arguing that God is capable of speaking through anyone.
He stated, “People want to hear it from their pastors or prophets before they believe. God can use anybody. I was only a medium. I saw it, I said it, and I was disregarded.”
Describing the floods as a wake-up call, he urged Ghanaians to pay greater attention to warnings relating to disasters and environmental threats rather than dismissing them outright.
Ebo Noah also claimed the current flooding may not be the final challenge the country faces, cautioning that additional incidents could occur in the coming weeks if people fail to remain alert.
“No more talking. The rain will speak for us. In the coming weeks, a lot is going to happen, so everyone should be on the lookout,” he warned.
Despite his concerns, Ebo Noah said he continues to pray and intercede for the country as communities recover from the widespread destruction.
His comments come after days of intense rainfall caused severe flooding across parts of Greater Accra and other regions, leaving homes and businesses damaged, displacing residents, disrupting academic activities in some schools, and prompting emergency response efforts.
While some social media users believe his claims reinforce the importance of paying attention to warnings, others remain unconvinced, arguing that such assertions should be treated with caution. Regardless, his remarks have added another dimension to the national conversation surrounding disaster preparedness, public safety, and the role of prophetic or personal warnings during emergencies.
