C/R: Conflict at Gomoa Dabani Ends as Anona Yoko Family Installs New Family Head
Five years of conflict at Gomoa Dabani in the Gomoa East District, following the death of the Anona Yoko family head, has finally come to an end after the family installed a new head.
Speaking at the unveiling of the new family head of the Anona Yoko Family at Gomoa Dabani, the Omankrado of Gomoa Dabani and Odikro of Kwame Adwer, Nana Essel Acquah I, emphasized the important role family heads play in maintaining harmony and fostering development.
He called on the people of Gomoa Dabani and members of the Anona Yoko Family to support the newly installed family head to ensure that peace and unity prevail within both the family and the community.
According to him, Rev. Stephen Entsie has been duly recognized as the new head of the Yoko Family following the passing of the late Ebusuapanyin in 2022, and all necessary traditional rites have been performed.
Meanwhile, the Queen Mother of the Anona Yoko Family, Nana Akosua Otoaba, urged the new Ebusuapanyin to emulate and continue the good works of his predecessor in order to promote peace and development in Gomoa Dabani.
In his acceptance remarks, the newly installed Ebusuapanyin of the Anona Yoko Family, Rev. Stephen Entsie, appealed to family members and the people of Gomoa Dabani to offer him the same support they gave his predecessor, so he can serve effectively.
