MOGPA Commissions Ultra-Modern School Block for Abrafo Kokoben JHS
The Moments of Glory Prayer Army (MOGPA), under the leadership of Rev. Isaac Osei-Bonsu, popularly known as Rev. OB, has commissioned an ultra-modern school block for Abrafo Kokoben Junior High School in the Atwima Nwabiagya North District of the Ashanti Region.
The newly constructed facility comprises three modern classrooms, an ICT laboratory, a headmaster’s office, and a staff room. The project was supervised by MOGPA’s Welfare Chairman, Mr. Isaac Boakye Yiadom.
Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, Mr. Yiadom explained that the project forms part of MOGPA’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives aimed at supporting education and community development.
“The construction of this school block is part of MOGPA’s commitment to giving back to society. Leaders of the Abrafo Kokoben community appealed to our leader, Rev. OB, to assist the school with classroom infrastructure for its JHS students. The church considered the request and recognized the need to provide this beautiful facility to support teaching and learning. We look forward to extending our helping hand to many other communities in need,” he stated.

Call for More ICT Support
The Human Resource Officer of the Atwima Nwabiagya North Education Directorate, Madam Rubi Osei Forson, commended MOGPA and Rev. OB for the remarkable gesture.
She noted that while the provision of the ICT laboratory was commendable, schools within the district still require computers and other technological resources to enhance digital learning.
Madam Forson therefore appealed to philanthropists, corporate organizations, and other stakeholders to support schools in the district with computers and ICT equipment to enable students to acquire the digital literacy skills needed in today’s technology-driven world.
Headmaster Expresses Gratitude
The Headmaster of Abrafo Kokoben D/A Basic School, Mr. Rahman Adu Ekuoko, expressed profound appreciation to Rev. OB and the MOGPA fraternity for responding positively to the school’s infrastructural challenges.
According to him, the school had struggled for years with inadequate classroom facilities, making teaching and learning difficult for both students and teachers.
“I approached Rev. OB for assistance because our JHS students did not have a conducive place to study. Fortunately, he responded positively to our request. Today, we have this beautiful ultra-modern facility, and we are extremely grateful. On behalf of the school and the entire community, I thank Rev. OB and MOGPA for this wonderful gesture,” he said.

Call for Proper Maintenance
Also addressing the gathering, Baffour Opoku Agyemang, Otumfuo Twafohene, urged teachers, students, and members of the community to cultivate a strong maintenance culture to preserve the facility for future generations.
He emphasized that community-owned projects thrive when beneficiaries take responsibility for their upkeep, adding that proper maintenance would ensure the building continues to serve students for many years.

The commissioning of the school block marks a significant milestone in improving educational infrastructure in the Atwima Nwabiagya North District and is expected to create a more conducive learning environment for students of Abrafo Kokoben Junior High School.
