“Healing will be tough” — Choirmaster opens up after Beverly Afaglo’s death
Ghanaian musician Eugene Baah, widely known in the entertainment industry as Choirmaster, has emotionally opened up about the painful reality of life after losing his wife, actress Beverly Afaglo.
Weeks after the heartbreaking death of the celebrated actress, the former Praye member took to Instagram on June 16, 2026, to share his grief with fans while admitting that the road to recovery will not be easy.
Choirmaster posted a touching video capturing memorable moments he shared with Beverly Afaglo during their years together. Accompanying the emotional clip was a heartbreaking message that quickly drew sympathy from fans and fellow celebrities.
“Healing will be tough!! But I will be strong,” he wrote.
The emotional post has since generated massive reactions on social media, with many Ghanaians offering prayers and words of encouragement to the grieving musician as he struggles to come to terms with the painful loss.
Beverly Afaglo, a well-known Ghanaian actress and media personality, was confirmed dead on May 24, 2026, after reportedly battling cancer for two years. She is said to have passed away at the International Maritime Hospital in Tema.
Her death sent shockwaves across Ghana’s entertainment industry, with several actors, musicians, and public figures mourning her sudden passing and celebrating her contribution to the movie industry.
Final funeral rites for the late actress are expected to take place on August 7, 2026, at the Lashibi Funeral Home in the Greater Accra Region.
The funeral arrangements were officially announced during her one-week observance held on May 30, 2026, at the Green Flavour Events Centre in Community 9, Tema. The event brought together family members, colleagues, close friends, and sympathisers who gathered to honour her memory.
Before her death, Beverly Afaglo built a remarkable career in Ghana’s movie industry, starring in several popular productions that made her a household name. She appeared in movies such as Return of Beyonce (2006), Crime to Christ (2007), Girls Connection (2008), Never Again (2010), Turn Me On (2010), and Single Six (2011), among others.
Her passing has left a huge void in the entertainment fraternity, while Choirmaster’s emotional reaction continues to highlight the deep bond the couple shared throughout their marriage.
