GES Interdicts Bole SHS Teacher Over Alleged Sexual Misconduct with Student
The Ghana Education Service (GES) has interdicted a teacher at Bole Senior High School in the Savannah Region over allegations of sexual misconduct involving a student.
In a statement issued on June 16, 2026, and signed by the Head of Public Relations, Daniel Fenyi, the Service disclosed that it had become aware of a disturbing video circulating on social media, which allegedly shows inappropriate conduct between the teacher and the student.
According to GES, investigations have been initiated into the incident, and the teacher has been interdicted pending the outcome of the inquiry, in accordance with the Service’s rules and regulations.
The Service strongly condemned any form of romantic or sexual relationship between teachers and students, reaffirming its zero-tolerance policy on sexual misconduct within educational institutions.
GES also urged all staff members to adhere strictly to professional ethics and maintain the highest standards of conduct in the discharge of their duties.
The statement further emphasized the Service’s commitment to safeguarding the welfare, protection, and well-being of students across the country, stressing that any individual found culpable would face the appropriate disciplinary and legal consequences.
Management assured the public that the matter is being treated with the utmost seriousness and pledged to provide further updates as investigations continue.
