Ghanaian actor Kwabena Boakye Copson, popularly known in entertainment circles as Kwabena Boakye and widely recognised for his role in actress Vivian Jill Lawrence’s famous “Abrewa Mafia” comedy skits, has publicly opened up about what he describes as years of disappointment and unfair treatment from the Kumawood star.

The actor recently took to social media to express his frustrations in a series of emotional videos, where he alleged that despite his loyalty and sacrifices for Vivian Jill Lawrence and her brand, he never received the same level of support in return.

According to Kwabena Boakye, he had kept quiet about the situation for a long time but finally decided to speak because the burden had become too heavy for him to carry.

In one of the videos, the actor was seen recording himself in a bushy area in Obuasi, explaining that he intentionally stayed away from people close to him because he feared they would prevent him from expressing his true feelings.

Kwabena Boakye stated that he always regarded Vivian Jill as a mother figure in the movie industry and willingly supported her on several occasions out of respect and loyalty. However, he claimed that things changed whenever he personally needed help from her.

The actor alleged that although he consistently promoted and stood by the actress throughout their years of working together, he often felt neglected and disappointed by how he was treated behind the scenes.

He further claimed that there were moments when Vivian Jill Lawrence appeared upset whenever she visited his movie set for productions, creating tension that left many people questioning the state of their relationship.

Kwabena Boakye also alleged that there were attempts to sideline him from some of the projects they previously worked on together. According to him, misunderstandings between them were fueled by another actress who allegedly spread rumours that damaged the once-close relationship they shared.

The actor explained that he had remained silent for years in order to protect their bond and avoid public controversy, but he now believes it is important to finally share his side of the story.

The revelations have since sparked reactions on social media, with fans of both actors debating the allegations and expressing surprise over the apparent tension between two familiar faces associated with the popular “Abrewa Mafia” series.
