Traditional leadership is about dignity and transformation, not just stools – Dasebre Kwebu Ewusi Vll
Dasebre Kwebu Ewusi VII, Paramount Chief of Abeadze Traditional Area has stressed that the true story of Africa is often told through lenses that overlook the continent’s deepest strengths.
Speaking at the launch of the Sacred Crown Awards 2026 in Accra, the traditional ruler emphasized that Africa’s heritage, spirituality, and wellness form the foundation of its identity and resilience.
“As the paramount chief of the Abeadze Traditional Area, I understand deeply that traditional leadership is not merely about stools. It is about serving as custodians of identity, dignity, and community transformation,” he stated.
Nana Ewusi VII commended organizers of the awards for creating a platform that deliberately seeks to bridge the wisdom of ancestors with the innovation of the modern world. He described the initiative as both refreshing and necessary for national development.
He also expressed his deepest respect to His Royal Majesty King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, Ga Mantse, noting that his distinguished patriotism and leadership give the platform immense strength and unity.
The Sacred Crown Awards 2026 is built on three pillars – African heritage, spirituality, and wellness – to celebrate individuals whose work promotes cultural preservation, healing, and community impact.
