Emelia Brobbey breaks silence on Paa George’s neglect claims

Ghanaian actress Emelia Brobbey has responded to claims made by veteran actor Paa George that she neglected him despite his support in her movie career.

Following comedian Dr. Likee’s successful concert at the Indigo O2 in the United Kingdom, Emelia Brobbey shared her side of the controversy in an interview.

Paa George had earlier alleged that Emelia stopped answering his calls during difficult times, despite the support he claims to have given her at the early stage of her career.

However, Emelia Brobbey has dismissed the allegations, insisting that she has consistently supported the veteran actor financially over the years. According to her, the misunderstanding arose after she relocated to the United Kingdom, which made communication more difficult.

She explained that her move abroad and busy schedule affected their ability to stay in touch, which may have led to frustration on Paa George’s part.

“Regarding Paa George’s issue, I used to send him money whenever he called me. But I’m sure he couldn’t reach me after I relocated to the UK,” she said.

Emelia further revealed that Paa George later apologized to her after publicly claiming on radio that she had neglected him. She added that she still supported him financially even after the apology.

“After he said on radio that I don’t give him money, he came back to apologize and said he had forgotten himself. After that, I sent him money twice,” she stated.

She also noted that she supported him again during his birthday celebration in May 2026.

“When I travelled to Ghana, he told me May 9 was his birthday, so I sent him money and he thanked me,” she added.

Reacting to the situation, Emelia expressed disappointment, saying it hurt her to be accused despite her consistent support.

“It’s painful when you’ve been helping someone financially, yet you are singled out because they couldn’t reach you. I even assist strangers,” she said.
