Beverly Afaglo died of cancer — Manager reveals

Abu Iddris, manager of late Ghanaian actress Beverly Afaglo, has revealed that cancer was the cause of the actress’ death. He also disclosed how she gave up treatment in the United States of America just to spend her final days with her children in Ghana.

As of Saturday, May 24, 2026, the cause of Beverly Afaglo’s death was unknown. However, in an interview, her manager revealed details surrounding her passing.

Speaking during the interview, Iddris disclosed that the actress passed away around 11:45 p.m. at the International Maritime Hospital in Tema after battling cancer for a very long time. According to him, it started as breast cancer, which she fought bravely, but because it was genetic, she could not survive it after two years.

He said: “It happened last night around 11:45 p.m. at the International Maritime Hospital, Tema. Yes, she battled cancer for two years. It has been a relentless war. She really fought hard, but that is where it ended. It started as breast cancer, but because it was genetic, it spread throughout her body.”

Addressing the issue of treatment, Abu Iddris explained that the actress had been receiving treatment in the United States, where she had access to advanced medication and better treatment options. However, she decided to discontinue treatment there and return to Ghana to spend her remaining days with her children.

He explained: “In fact, she was in the US for treatment and was supposed to stay there because the treatment and drugs were more advanced there. Her best chances were there, but she chose to come home and be with her kids. Knowing her situation, this shows the kind of person she was. She wanted to spend her final days with her children at home.”

When asked about new arrangements, the manager said the family was still grieving and no plans had been made yet.

He stated: “There is nothing I can share for now. We are taking things slowly because it just happened. We are trying to process everything and grieve our sister. There are no arrangements yet.”

Concluding the interview, Abu Iddris emphasized that Beverly Afaglo lived her life to the fullest and urged Ghanaians to remember her legacy.

He said: “She truly lived. Even while battling cancer, she continued being the best version of herself. Tell the world who Beverly is.”
