Former Managing Director of GIHOC Distilleries Company Limited, Maxwell Kofi Jumah, has been arrested by the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) as part of an ongoing investigation.
The arrest follows a raid on his private residence in Kumasi last week. Sources within EOCO confirm that he was picked up on Tuesday, April 28, and is currently in the custody of the agency.
According to individuals familiar with the matter, the development forms part of a broader probe into alleged breaches of public financial management regulations during his tenure at GIHOC.
Investigators are reportedly examining how certain official resources were handled under his leadership.
The case remains under investigation and further details are expected to emerge.
