The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (National Democratic Congress), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, is set to begin a multi-constituency thank-you tour of the Upper East Region following a revised itinerary approved by the party’s regional secretariat.

The tour, scheduled for April 27 and 28, 2026, will take him through several constituencies where he is expected to engage a wide range of party stakeholders, including Members of Parliament, Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs), constituency and regional executives, former appointees, as well as traditional leaders, clergy and opinion leaders.

According to the programme, the tour will begin on Monday, April 27, in the Talensi Constituency from 10:00 am to 11:30 am. He will then proceed to Nabdam from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm, followed by Bongo from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm, and Bolgatanga East from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm.

On Tuesday, April 28, engagements will continue in Bolgatanga Central from 10:00 am to 11:30 am. This will be followed by Builsa North from 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm, and a final stop in Builsa South from 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm.

The party has instructed constituency executives to select appropriate venues for the meetings, with a preference for spacious halls to accommodate all participants.

The tour is part of broader efforts by the NDC leadership to thank supporters, deepen grassroots engagement, and strengthen party structures following recent political activities in the region.

After concluding the engagements, the Chairman is expected to proceed to Yagaba-Kubori.
