Dr. Kojo Asante, Director of Advocacy and Policy Engagement at CDD-GHANA, has praised Special Prosecutor Lawyer Kissi Agyebeng and the OSP for their efforts in combating corruption.
Speaking at a national dialogue on office of special Prosecutor, Dr. Asante highlighted the OSP’s independence in investigating high-profile politicians.
He emphasized Ghana’s need for a specialized, independent agency to tackle corruption, urging citizens to support the OSP.
He criticized calls to abolish the office, stating it’s capable and performs better than the Attorney General.
“The Attorney General can’t prosecute politicians serving one master. It’s time Ghanaians backed the OSP to work without government interference,” Asante said.
