Korle Bu interdicts two doctors and two nurses over alleged negligence
Management of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital has interdicted two doctors and two nurses over their alleged failure to provide emergency care to a hit-and-run victim.
In a statement issued on Monday, February 23, 2026, the hospital confirmed that the four health professionals have been suspended pending investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident and the subsequent death of the victim.
According to the release, a committee has been set up in accordance with established administrative procedures to conduct a comprehensive inquiry into the matter.
The hospital’s Board and Management have urged all individuals connected to the case to cooperate fully with the committee to ensure a fair, thorough, and transparent investigation.
Management also reiterated the hospital’s commitment to accountability, transparency, and the provision of quality healthcare services, adding that further updates will be provided once the investigation is concluded.
