Two people were reported injured after a Hyundai saloon car lost control and crashed into a container shop and a kenkey joint at Kasoa Dam Junction in the Awutu Senya East Municipality.
According to reports, the car, traveling from Ofaakor to Kasoa, veered off the road, jumped the gutter, and collided with the shop. The driver, reportedly unstable, and the kenkey seller were both affected in the incident.
The vehicle, a Hyundai saloon registered AD 572-25, is said to have been speeding at the time of the crash.
Eyewitnesses who spoke Oyerepa News’ Nana Ansah said “only the driver was in the car, while four people were at the kenkey joint. They were able to escape unharmed”
She added that the kenkey seller sustained injuries and was being treated, while the driver was taken to the hospital due to his unstable condition.
Police are currently at the scene, working to remove the vehicle and launch an investigation into the incident.
