We’re not getting jobs because some Nigerians are using Ghanaian passports — Ghanaian man in Dubai
Members of the Ghanaian community in Dubai have raised concerns over the alleged misuse of Ghanaian passports, warning that it is affecting employment opportunities and posing safety risks for genuine Ghanaians.
Kobby Stone, a prominent community member, told Kwesi Parker-Wilson that securing jobs in Dubai has become increasingly difficult for Ghanaians because some Nigerians are reportedly obtaining Ghanaian passports and engaging in criminal activities.
“Getting a job in Dubai has become very difficult for us because, according to what we are seeing, some Nigerians have allegedly acquired Ghanaian passports and are involved in criminal activities, putting our lives at risk,” Stone said.
He urged Ghanaian authorities to exercise strict due diligence when issuing passports to individuals to prevent such abuses.
