Pius Enam Hadzide, Spokesperson to Dr. Bryan Acheampong, has criticized former Member of Parliament for Manhyia, Dr. Mathew Opoku-Prempeh (NAPO), following remarks in which he described former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as the wisest member of the previous cabinet led by President Nana Akufo-Addo.
Dr. Mathew Opoku-Prempeh, while addressing delegates, described the former Vice President, Dr. Bawumia, as the wisest person among the cabinet members of the former Akufo-Addo government.
“I have never seen anyone in Cabinet as wise and smart as Dr. Bawumia in my seven and a half years in Cabinet,” NAPO, as he is popularly known, said.
Responding to these comments in an interview with Kwesi Parker Wilson on Oyerepa Breakfast Time, Mr. Pius said NAPO’s assessment was misplaced.
“What do you expect from NAPO? If you are seeking to be a running mate, what will you say? The attempt to diminish some people in order to elevate others shows zero sound mentality. For NAPO to suggest that Dr. Bawumia was wiser and smarter than President Akufo-Addo, who chairs cabinet meetings, is not right.” he said.
