A suspected ritual killing has been reported at Weija Junction in the Weija-Gbawe Municipality, following the discovery of the lifeless body of an unidentified woman.
The body was found naked and partially mutilated, raising suspicions that the victim may have been killed elsewhere and later dumped at the junction, possibly to make the incident appear like a road accident.
Residents say the discovery has created fear and panic in the area, while some families within the municipality have expressed concern over missing relatives as police commence investigations.
The body has since been conveyed to the police morgue for further examination. Authorities are urging members of the public to remain calm and assist the police with any relevant information that may aid the investigation.
Police at Weija confirmed that no arrests have been made so far.
