A 33-year-old man, identified as Godwin Agelooro, has been found dead by the roadside following a violent confrontation at a drinking spot in Dunkwa Kyekyewere Station in the Upper Denkyira area of the Central Region.
The incident occurred late on Sunday, January 4, 2026, while the deceased was spending time at a local drinking spot in the community.
Speaking to Adom News, the deceased’s brother, Samuel Akazine, said the incident was triggered when a woman allegedly approached Godwin Agelooro and touched his dreadlocks without his consent. When the deceased questioned her action, a man believed to be the woman’s boyfriend reportedly intervened, leading to a heated verbal exchange.
Mr Akazine explained that the argument later escalated into a physical confrontation but was initially calmed, causing the parties involved to disperse.
However, he said the deceased later returned to the area, where a second confrontation reportedly broke out.
In the early hours of Monday, January 5, 2026, Godwin Agelooro was found dead by the roadside with visible injuries suspected to have been sustained during the renewed clash.
The body has since been deposited at the Dunkwa Government Hospital mortuary for preservation and autopsy.
