Residents of Kasoa in the Awutu Senya East Municipality have been left shaken following the discovery of the body of an unidentified man in the Okrudu River.
The deceased, believed to be in his early 30s, was found at the riverside under circumstances that suggest he may have been attacked before his body was abandoned. Residents who spoke to the media described him as fair in complexion. Preliminary observations indicated signs of physical assault.

The identity of the man has not yet been established, and it remains unclear whether he was involved in any criminal activity prior to his death.
Personnel from the Awutu Senya East Municipal Office of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), led by Nash Nyande, together with the area assembly member, coordinated the retrieval of the body.
The body was subsequently conveyed to the Police Hospital mortuary for preservation and autopsy to aid investigations.

Police have since launched an investigation into the incident and are appealing to the public for any information that could help identify the deceased or assist in uncovering the circumstances surrounding his death.
