Parents of pupils at Aboabo Kesse D/A Primary School in the Atwima Kwanwoma Municipality of the Ashanti Region have appealed for urgent assistance to renovate the school’s classroom facilities.
Currently, pupils are taught under a pavilion partitioned with plywood, a temporary structure constructed by the school’s Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) several years ago.
The facility has since deteriorated and is no longer safe for effective teaching and learning.
Speaking to Oyerepa News during the school’s Carlos Day celebration, the PTA Chairman, Emmanuel Bruce, said the poor condition of the structure has forced school authorities to regularly close the school whenever there are signs of rain.
According to him, this situation has severely disrupted academic activities and negatively affected the quality of education at the school.
Mr Bruce, therefore, called on the government, stakeholders, and benevolent individuals to come to the aid of the school to ensure a safe and conducive learning environment for the pupils.
