The Ghana Police Service has arrested 56 suspects following a series of intelligence-led operations across the Western North Region.
In a Facebook post on Tuesday, December 23, the police said the arrests were made during week-long Christmas Special Operations aimed at strengthening security and maintaining law and order throughout the festive season.
The operations were conducted in several towns and communities, including Sefwi-Bodi, Asawinsos, Dadieso, Juaboso, Akontombra, Sefwi Debiso, Enchi, Sefwi Bekwai, Donyina and Bidiem.
According to the police, the coordinated exercise forms part of broader efforts to prevent crime and ensure the safety of residents and visitors during the Christmas period.
