The Sehwi Bodi Circuit Court in the Bodi District of the Western North Region has remanded Victor Biney, also known as Abeiku, a self-proclaimed Mallam and suspected armed robber, for his involvement in a violent attack on miners at Sehwi Antobia in the Juaboso District. The case is being overseen by His Highness Frank Asiedu Nimako.
Biney’s bail application, submitted by his lawyer, was denied, leading to his remand on December 18, 2025. He is scheduled to reappear in court on January 15, 2026.
Known in the Juaboso communities as both an armed robber and a Mallam, Biney allegedly initiates young men and women into “black powers” rituals, claiming to offer protection against guns and cutlasses.
Since his arrest, Biney has been linked to multiple robbery incidents, including a daylight robbery in Juaboso that resulted in one death and the theft of a large sum of money from a wholesale shop.
The suspect also faces another pending criminal case, with a full judgment expected on Monday, December 22, 2025, at the Bibiani Circuit Court.
