Popular Oyerepa TV host and relationship counsellor, Nana Afia Achiaa Agyeman, widely known as Mama Counsellor, has been installed as the Development Queen Mother (Nkosuohemaa) of Kwaso, a community in the Ejisu Municipality of the Ashanti Region.
She was officially enstooled on December 13, 2025, under the stool name Nanahemaa Nana Afia Achiaa Agyeman, becoming the Kwaso Nkosuohemaa.
Mama Counsellor was installed after the Kwaasohene, Nana Osei Fosu Adutwum, acknowledged her years of dedicated developmental work in the Kwaso community.
Mama Counsellor is the first woman to be installed as Nkosuohemaa in the history of Kwaso.
She now bears the stool name; Nanahemaa Nana Afia Achiaa Agyeman, Kwaso Nkosuohemaa.

Outlining her vision, the newly installed queen mother pledged to work diligently to promote development and unity within the community.
Nanahemaa Nana Afia Achiaa Agyeman stated that the re-establishment of the Kwaso Senior High School remains her top priority. She also revealed plans to collaborate with investors to set up nursing and teacher training colleges within the Kwaso community.
Again, the new Kwaso Nkosuohemaa plans to collaborate with Kwaso Adehyeman Mma International Association, chiefs and elders to organise a Homecoming event during the 2026 Easter festivities, an initiative she believes will bring together indigenes and stakeholders to support the town’s growth.
“My vision is to work tirelessly for the development of Kwaso,” she added.
The colourful installation ceremony was attended by several traditional leaders and dignitaries, including ace broadcaster who is now the Afigya-Kwabre Nkosuohemaa [Nana Hemaa Adwoa Ankyaa Awindor], Ejisuhemaa [Nana Yaa Asantewaa II], Adumanaafohene [Nana Owusu Kwarteng II ], Otumfuor Fekuo [Nana Baffour Kwabena Asamoah], Otumfuo Fontomfromhemaa [Nana Ama Akyaa], Otumfuo Ayeyeyere [Nanahemaa Abena Atipa], Asantehemaa Mmodwahemaa [Nana Akosua], and many others.

Mama Counsellor’s installation has been widely welcomed by residents, who have expressed optimism that her influence, experience, and passion for development will help transform Kwaso and improve the lives of its people.
