The proprietor of Calvary Redemption School at Ashongman Estate in Accra, Rev. Comfort Asafoa, has called on parents to prioritize their children’s education as a vital investment in shaping their future and building responsible citizens.
Speaking at the school’s 20th anniversary celebration, Rev. Comfort emphasized that quality education is a shared responsibility requiring the active involvement of parents, teachers, and the community.
She urged parents to allocate more resources to their children’s education, rather than spending excessively on social events such as funerals, which she noted would ultimately reflect in their academic performance.
According to her, investing in children’s education would benefit not only the parents but also the country at large, as educated individuals contribute significantly to nation-building.
Rev. Comfort Asafoa appealed to government agencies, private organizations, and benevolent individuals to support Calvary Redemption School in providing quality education to help build a nation of great minds.
She also advised pupils to respect and honour their parents and teachers, in line with biblical teachings, to ensure long and purposeful lives.
The event highlighted the importance of collaboration in education, with Rev. Comfort emphasizing that it takes a collective effort to raise responsible citizens.
The school’s 20th anniversary celebration served as a platform for stakeholders to reflect on the importance of quality education in shaping the future of children and the nation.
