The Electoral Commission (EC) has announced that the District Assembly and Unit Committee by-elections, previously set for Tuesday, November 11, 2025, have been postponed.

In a statement issued on November 3, 2025, the Commission said the elections had been put on hold until further notice. Although no reason was given for the delay, the EC assured the public that revised dates would be announced soon.

The notice, signed by Mr. Fred Tetteh, Deputy Director of the Research, Monitoring and Evaluation Department, expressed appreciation to the public for their patience and urged citizens to remain calm as preparations continue for the rescheduled by-elections.
