A tragic road accident at Adansi Akrokerri Junction on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, has left one person dead and two others seriously injured.
The crash involved a Hyundai minivan and a Hyundai truck in a head-on collision.
The minivan, registered AS 8655-20, was attempting to overtake another vehicle when it collided with the oncoming truck, registered AS 3948-24.
The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) reported that the impact killed the minivan driver instantly.
A rescue team from the Fomena Fire Station, led by LFM Boateng, extricated the deceased driver and handed the body over to police officers at the scene.
Two occupants of the truck sustained serious injuries and were rushed to a nearby hospital before the arrival of the GNFS team.
Both vehicles were severely damaged, with the truck ultimately veering off the road into a ditch.
Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
