The Africa Prosperity Network (APN) is set to launch a historic campaign, “Make Africa Borderless Now!”, aiming to secure 10 million signatures from across the continent and diaspora, calling for the implementation of African Union protocols and AfCFTA-enabling instruments.
The campaign, launching at the Africa Prosperity Dialogues (APD) 2026 in Accra, Ghana, from February 4-6, 2026, will mobilize Africans to demand visa-free travel, mobile money interoperability, and the free movement of people, goods, and services across Africa’s borders.
APN Founder and Executive Chairman, Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko, emphasizes that the campaign is not asking for new commitments, but rather for leaders to implement existing agreements.
“Our goal is to send a strong delegation to the African Union to present 10 million signatures and say: ‘Your people want a borderless Africa, simply by implementing what you have already agreed to do’.”
The Africa Prosperity Network (APN) is driving a historic campaign, “Make Africa Borderless Now!”, aiming to unlock Africa’s economic potential by implementing existing African Union protocols and AfCFTA-enabling instruments.
The campaign focuses on removing barriers to empower SMEs, women, and young entrepreneurs, promoting visa-free travel, mobile money interoperability, and free movement of people, goods, and services across Africa’s borders.
Sidig Eltoum, CEO of APN, emphasized that the campaign aims to remove physical, financial, and digital barriers hindering SMEs, Africa’s primary job creators, thereby unlocking opportunities for the continent’s youth, 60% of whom are under 25.
He stated, “The focus is on removing these barriers… we offer a new, exciting world of opportunities… converting energy and agreements into a tangible, citizen-powered mandate for action.”
The campaign’s 10-point agenda will be unveiled at APD 2026, from February 4-6, 2026, in Accra. APN invites Africans and friends of Africa to join the “Make Africa Borderless Now!” movement.
