Mahama Set to Launch ‘Vegetable Development Project’ in Ahafo Region today

President John Dramani Mahama is set to launch the Vegetable Development Project (Yeredua) under the Feed Ghana initiative at Kukuom in the Asunafo South District of the Ahafo Region on Thursday, November 27.

As part of his visit, the President will also perform a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a poultry, meat, and feed processing factory at Bechem in the Tano South Municipality.

Mr. Alfred Aboagye, Special Aide to Ahafo Regional Minister Madam Charity Gardiner, revealed the President’s itinerary in an interview with the Ghana News Agency at Goaso on Wednesday.

He noted that the new processing factory, once completed, would create significant employment opportunities for the youth and encouraged residents to support President Mahama’s Reset Ghana agenda.

Mr. Aboagye added that the vegetable development project aims to boost vegetable production and make the sector more attractive to young people. He further urged unemployed youth across the country to venture into farming as the government continues investing in the modernization of agriculture to drive job creation, reduce poverty, and ensure food security.
