Firefighters from the Bechem Fire Station swiftly responded to a distress call at 5:38 a.m. on November 18, 2025, after a head-on collision between a Ford Transit (AS 7172-23) and a Kia Rhino (AS 3058-X) on the Sunyani–Kumasi highway at Nyamebekyere.
The crash left several occupants with varying degrees of injuries, but fortunately no fatalities were recorded.
Both vehicles suffered extensive damage. Authorities have since commenced investigations to determine the cause of the accident.
