Sekyere Afram Plains MP spupports SHS students with educational items
The Member of Parliament for Sekyere Afram Plains, Hon. Hajia Nasira Afrah, has extended support to all newly admitted Senior High School (SHS) students in her constituency through the second edition of the Obaatanpa Edu-Care Initiative.
The gesture, which took place over the weekend, saw the distribution of chop boxes, mattresses, bedsheets, exercise books, sanitary pads for girls, and cash donations to students and their parents. The initiative is part of the MP’s broader commitment to ensuring that every child in Sekyere Afram Plains has a fair opportunity to access quality education regardless of their background.

Hon. Nasira expressed her joy at the warm reception the event received from students, parents, traditional leaders, and residents of the constituency. She noted that education remains a key pillar in her development agenda and assured constituents that similar interventions would continue in the years ahead.
“It was heartwarming to see our students, their parents, and community leaders embrace this initiative with such happiness and hope. We will continue to serve our people through programs that directly impact and transform lives,” she stated.
The Obaatanpa Edu-Care Initiative, introduced by the MP, is designed to support students, particularly those from underprivileged backgrounds, as they transition into Senior High School. The program reflects her belief that empowering young people through education is the most sustainable path to community development.

Traditional leaders and parents present commended the MP for her continuous commitment to the welfare of children and the educational progress of the constituency.
