Former New Patriotic Party (NPP) Chairman for Afigya Kwabere South Constituency, Odeneho Kwaku Appiah (popularly known as COKA), has issued a clarification after a statement from the campaign team of Ken Ohene Agyapong mentioned the name “KOKA.”
During a live broadcast on Wontumi Television, Kwaku Osei Korankye Asiedu (KOKA), a well-known supporter of Bawumia, made some derogatory remarks against Kennedy Agyapong.
After the show, many people thought the former, Afigya Kwabere South NPP Chairman, made those remarks against Kennedy.
Chairman Odeneho Kwaku Appiah on Dess FM in Bekwai on Friday, October 3, said he had numerous calls and inquiries from supporters and members of the public who mistakenly assumed the reference was to him.
In a brief disclaimer on his Facebook wall, Chairman COKA clarified that “KOKA” cited in the statement is not him but rather Kwaku Osei Korankye Asiedu, a well-known supporter of Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.
“Please be informed that the statement made by Ken Agyapong’s team is not in reference to me (Chairman COKA).
The person in reference is Kwaku Osei Korankye Asiedu (KOKA). I kindly ask everyone to take note.” Chairman COKA stated.
The clarification comes in the wake of a strong-worded release from Agyapong’s campaign, warning Dr Bawumia’s camp over what it described as “vicious and unprovoked attacks” launched by Kwaku Osei Korankye Asiedu (KOKA).
