The Deputy Minister for Works and Housing, Gizzela Tetteh Agbutui, who also serves as the Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya West Constituency, has advised Junior High School graduates entering Senior High School to remain focused on their studies and avoid distractions.
She cautioned the students against keeping peers who might influence them negatively, stressing that discipline and concentration on their education would make both their parents and the community proud.
Agbutui gave this advice when she donated 200 mattresses and trunks to students from her constituency who are set to begin SHS.
Supporting the initiative, the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Awutu Senya West, Nyamekye Eghan Kalala, explained that the gesture forms part of the “Back to School” programme jointly undertaken by the MP and the assembly to promote education in the district.
Some of the beneficiaries and their parents expressed heartfelt gratitude to the MP for her support and assured her of their commitment to studying hard.
