A 20-year-old man has reportedly died by suicide at Obuasi, a community within Agogo in the Asante Akyem North Municipality.
The incident occurred on Sunday, September 21, around 3:00 p.m.
According to information gathered by Adom News, the young man had returned from church with his girlfriend. After sharing a meal, the two decided to rest, but the girlfriend later woke up to the tragic sight of him hanging from the ceiling.
Her cries for help drew the attention of neighbors. Officers from the Agogo Police Service, together with officials from the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), arrived at the scene around 7:00 p.m.
The body was subsequently conveyed to the Agogo Presbyterian Morgue for preservation and further examination.
