Hon. Ken Ohene Agyapong, former Assin Central MP and NPP Presidential Aspirant for 2028, has been recognized for his outstanding contributions to Ghana’s development.
He received the prestigious Sankofa National Prestige Honours 2025 award, which celebrates distinguished leaders who have strengthened Ghana’s national fabric through their vision, sacrifice, and service.
In his keynote address, Hon. Ken Ohene Agyapong emphasized the importance of patriotism, honesty, and discipline. He warned against the dangers of corruption, describing it as “the theft of hope.”
He urged Ghanaians, especially the youth, to live by values that will carry the nation forward with pride.
Hon. Ken Ohene Agyapong demonstrated his commitment to education and intellectual empowerment by purchasing two books launched at the ceremony, each at GHC50,000, totaling GHC100,000.
“Patriotism means putting Ghana first, not tribe, not party, and not personal ambition. Honesty in leadership builds trust. And without discipline, our dreams will always remain wishes.”
The Sankofa National Prestige Honours 2025 ceremony was held at the National Theatre in Accra, chaired by Ehunabobrim Prah Agyensaim VI, King of Owirenkyi Traditional Area.
The event celebrated distinguished leaders who have made significant contributions to Ghana’s development.
