A Fulani man has been left in critical condition after being subjected to mob justice at Gomoa Dabani in the Gomoa East District. The incident occurred around 8 p.m. when he allegedly attempted to rob a mobile money vendor.
According to reports, the suspect, together with an accomplice who is currently on the run, attacked a young female vendor at gunpoint. Their attempt, however, failed after some residents intervened to rescue the victim.
While one of the suspects managed to escape, the other was apprehended by the angry mob and severely beaten until a police patrol team arrived to rescue him.
The injured suspect was rushed to the Potsin Polyclinic, where he is receiving treatment under police guard.
Meanwhile, the Gomoa East District Police, despite facing logistical challenges, say they remain committed to ensuring the safety and security of residents.
