Ghanaian Kumawood actor, Kwaku Manu, has openly declared that he would never settle down with any woman unless he first becomes intimate with her.
In a candid video shared on Instagram by GH Page on August 23, 2025, the actor explained that his stance is shaped by lessons from his past marital experience.
According to him, one of the major challenges he faced in his previous marriage was the lack of fulfilment in certain aspects of the relationship, which eventually contributed to its breakdown.
Kwaku Manu stressed that for his next marriage, he is determined to avoid repeating the same mistakes. He emphasised that intimacy plays a crucial role in the success of any union, and as such, he considers sexual compatibility a non-negotiable factor in choosing a life partner.
In his view, rushing into marriage without first confirming compatibility could lead to frustrations, temptations, and ultimately, infidelity.
He further noted that his decision is not about promoting promiscuity, but rather about protecting the sanctity and longevity of marriage. By ensuring that he and his future partner are fully compatible on all levels—including emotional, spiritual, and sexual—he believes he will minimise the likelihood of engaging in extramarital affairs.
“Due to what I have gone through, there is no way I wouldn’t sleep with any woman I am interested in if I want to marry the person.
“Because of my experience, I don’t want to marry and still have an extramarital affair, he said.
Meanwhile, Kwaku Manu and his ex-wife, Diane Nana Okailey Nyarko, divorced in 2021.
Although he did not reveal the reasons for their separation, Kwaku Manu mentioned that despite their efforts to sustain the marriage, they decided to part ways.
He emphasised that there is no one-size-fits-all formula for a successful marriage and that each couple’s situation is unique.
