The murder case of Immigration Officer Stephen King Amoah has taken another twist as one of the suspects linked to his killing has reportedly died after a short illness.

Kwasi Amoako, who revealed that he was informed by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) officer in charge of the case.

“Yesterday we went to court and I can confirm that the third suspect has passed on. I was told by the Police CID, the one who is in charge of the case.

“We thank God that our brother has started seeking justice for himself,” Mr. Amoako said The news was confirmed to Citi News by the deceased’s brother.

Police are yet to release an official statement regarding the reported death. Meanwhile, the case continues to draw attention with fresh developments.

On Friday, August 22, 2025, another suspect, Thomas Zigah, also known as Nii Jaase, was arrested and arraigned before the Adabraka District Court. His arrest adds a new layer to the unfolding investigation.

Earlier, Bright Aweh, identified as the prime suspect and reportedly the last person Amoah contacted before his disappearance, was remanded into custody on August 8, 2025, for two weeks pending further investigations.

The late Amoah, aged 38, was first reported missing on July 3, 2025, after leaving home to meet a friend at Ashongman Estate. Days later, on July 9, his charred body was discovered at Abuom Junction near Kwabenya, a discovery that triggered a manhunt and an intensive police investigation.

With multiple suspects dead, remanded, or newly arrested, the case surrounding Amoah’s brutal killing remains under close watch as the search for justice continues.
