Ama Amina, a woman who lives at Mpesase in the Central Region of Ghana is battling for her sight after her rival, Effuah poured hot soup on her face.
According to Amin, the husband praised her rival after pouring the hot soup on her.
Amina sharing her ordeal on Oyerepa Afutuo Wednesday, said her husband Ahmed, told her to vacate the house they have built together because he has divorced her.
“On the 2nd January 2016 my husband mercilessly flogged me and it ended up in police station, he was asked to sign a bond in order not to beat me again”. She said.
“On 2 February the same year, I sent my son and he kept long so I confronted him when he returned but my husband came out of his room told my son to snub me, suddenly Effua her rival also came and poured hot soup on my face”. She lamented.
Amina further disclosed that the matter proceeded to court but Ahmed and his new wife were ordered by the court to compensate her with an amount of GHc360 but Ahmed paid only GHc250.
After six months the 42-year-old woman is on the verge of losing her sight as a result of her rival’s unwarranted actions.
“My eye turned reddish after six months time and it is rotting. I was transferred to Korle Bu Teaching hospital but they’re demanding over GHc9,000 for my treatment but I don’t have”. Amina told Auntie Naa host of the show.
