The funeral rites for the late Minister for Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation, Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed, will take place today, Thursday, August 7, 2025.
The ceremony will begin with Janaza prayers at 10:00 a.m. at the Anbariya Islamic Institute in Tamale, followed by burial at the Zujung Cemetery.
Dr. Mohammed, who also served as the Member of Parliament for Tamale Central, tragically lost his life in a military helicopter crash on Wednesday, August 6, along with eight others.
The ill-fated Ghana Air Force Z-9 helicopter was en route to Obuasi for an official national assignment. Among the victims was Defence Minister Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, along with:
