The Chiefs and Residents of Adjen Kotoku in the GA West Municipal Assembly of Greater Accra are calling on the government for urgent assistance to repair the poor road network in their community.
Nana Yeboah, the Nkosuohene of Kwarteman Adjen Kotoku, said the deteriorating state of the road is severely impacting local businesses and the livelihoods of residents. The poor road condition is crippling businesses and affecting the community’s economic growth.
According to him, despite previous cries for help, the community feels neglected, prompting an urgent appeal to the President Mahama-led administration to intervene.
Enock Asamoah Darko, CEO of Junock’s Events, emphasised that the youth are eager for development, but the poor road conditions are hindering progress. The community is hopeful that the government will address their concerns and construct a more durable road network.
He said this would not only boost economic activities but also ensure the success of this year’s Adjen Kotoku Homoho festival. Food vendors are particularly affected by the dust from the poor road, making it essential for the government to act swiftly.
