The body of former President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived in Nigeria from London, where he passed away on Sunday.
The remains, accompanied by Vice President Kashim Shettima, Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila, and members of the late president’s family, touched down at the airport at approximately 1:59 p.m.
President Bola Tinubu, along with members of the Buhari family, was present at the airport to receive the body.
Following the arrival, the remains were transported to Daura, Buhari’s hometown in Katsina State, where he will be laid to rest.
