Evangelist Patricia Asiedua, popularly known as Nana Agradaa, has described her embrace with former President John Dramani Mahama during the National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving as one of the most fulfilling moments of her life.
The event, held on July 1, 2025, brought together thousands of Christians, religious leaders, and citizens from across Ghana under the theme: “Reset, Reflect, and Renew for National Prosperity.” It served as a nationwide call to prayer for peace, development, and unity.
Agradaa, visibly moved by the occasion, said in an interview with the media that attending the event—and especially hugging the former President—was so powerful that even if she never makes it to heaven, she would still feel complete.
“That hug alone has given me peace. If I don’t make it to heaven, I’m content,” she said with a smile.
She also expressed gratitude for being part of such a spiritually charged national moment and praised the initiative for uniting Ghanaians in faith and purpose.
Agradaa praised Mahama for what she described as a “remarkable and godly initiative,” explaining that in times like these, it is important for the country to pause, reflect, and pray together.
According to her, the former President had demonstrated true leadership by organising such an event that focused on seeking God’s guidance for the nation.
“I’m really excited to be here, especially because I got to see the President in person. What he has done is beautiful. It shows he has a vision for the country and cares about where Ghana is heading. I even had the chance to hug him today, and honestly, even if I don’t make it to heaven, I feel fulfilled,” she said.
