Police in Half Assini have arrested two men seen in a disturbing viral video assaulting a 12-year-old boy over an alleged theft.
The suspects, 58-year-old Issah Morro and 27-year-old Suleman Abdul Rashid, were apprehended after the video — which showed the child hanging from a roof and being severely beaten — triggered widespread public outrage.
According to a statement from the Half Assini Divisional Police Command, the incident occurred in Ankasa, near Elubo, in the Western Region.
The young victim is currently receiving medical attention, while the suspects are in police custody and assisting with ongoing investigations.
