Ghanaian Highlife legend and TV personality Akosua Agyapong has stirred conversation with her recent take on relationships, urging single individuals to engage in sexual intimacy before marriage.
Speaking on JoyPrime on April 10, 2025, Akosua argued that exploring sexual compatibility before tying the knot helps partners understand each other’s desires and fantasies.
She further explained that such openness can reduce the likelihood of infidelity and divorce, as couples would have a better grasp of their compatibility from the start.
“For me, sex before marriage is very important. I say that for a reason; we were all brought up differently. And you can go into marriage and be miserable for the rest of your life if you don’t know the one you said I do to.
“Imagine I get married, which says for better for worse or till death do us part, and after the expensive wedding, I got to know that my husband can’t erect or has a smaller manhood, how do I stay in the marriage?” she said.
Akosua Agyapong also argued that adultery is more serious than fornication.
“Adultery is more serious than fornication because fornication is when two concerned adults agree to have sex. Sometimes, we make Christianity so hard to worship God,” she added.
