President Mahama Appoints New Heads for Fire Service, Prisons, and Immigration

President John Dramani Mahama has appointed new leaders for the Ghana National Fire Service, Ghana Prisons Service, and Ghana Immigration Service.

Under the new appointments:

  • DDGP 3 Patience Baffoe-Bonnie will serve as the head of the Ghana Prisons Service.
  • DCFO Daniella Mawusi Ntow Sarpong has been appointed as the head of the Ghana National Fire Service.
  • DCI Samuel Basentale Amadu will take over as the Comptroller-General of the Ghana Immigration Service.

The appointments were announced on Friday, March 14, shortly after President Mahama swore in COP Christian Tetteh Yohuno as the new Inspector-General of Police.

COP Yohuno replaces IGP George Akuffo-Dampare, who had led the Ghana Police Service since 2021 following his appointment by former President Akufo-Addo.
